怎樣申請温哥華余風采堂獎學金

領取獎學金宗旨﹕

本堂以注重品德的培育，就是希望能夠提 供場所，能夠鼓勵新世代的創意新秀年青余氏男女學生：

(一) 為培育 他/她 們的英才：能充分發揮 他/她 的潛力、學術或藝術技巧、文化創意事業。

(二) 能鼓勵 他/她 們繼續向學。

(三) 能為 他/她 們提供發展領導才能，培育社會責任感及增進情誼之機會。

(四) 能鼓勵 他/她 們踴躍多參與「温哥華余風采堂」堂所舉辦之活動。

申請資格﹕

(一) 申請者必須是本堂盡足義務堂員。

(二) 申請者的父母必須是本堂的堂員(必須辦妥入堂)。

(三) 能獲獎學金者必須親自在本堂每年舉辦的春宴會，在頒獎儀式時來領取獎學金 **。

(四) 申請者必須符合以下當中的一個標準：

• 優良成績者讀完了四年級或以上的教育，繼續升學，小學或中學教育；
• 高中畢業或修完了一個學年的課業，和被專科學校接受了留學計畫；

証 件﹕

申請人須有下列証件資料之一項要求﹕

    (1) 小學四年級至十二年級成績表及升學証件
    (2) 大學或專科學院成績表及升學証件
    (3) 學校成績表。
 
獎學金申請者必須填寫妥當的「獎學金申請表格」及隨附上列要求「証件」資料之一項，提交本堂。 為第一次申請獎學金者，必須附上一張最近相片(護照大小相片)

評 審：

本堂推舉專人多位負責評判，決定後在中文報章發表，並分別通知獲獎者前來領獎，如評審人員對申請人成績未符理想， 得保留獎金，不予頒發。

申請期限：

由 二零一一年 十二月一日 至 二零一二年 二月二十九日 截止(所有申請表要交回余風采堂)。

頒獎日期：

** 獎學金將在獎學金將在二零一二年八月四日（星期六）至八月七日（星期二）期間在溫哥華舉行由加拿大余風采總堂主辦之全加余風采堂第十六屆懇親大會時頒發。

How to Apply for Scholarship Awards

Award Objectives

• To nurture developing minds of young men and women who demonstrate academic, technical or artistic excellence
• To encourage further formal education
• To promote development of youth leadership
• To encourage involvement in activities and programs sponsored by the Yee Fung Toy Society of Vancouver.

Qualifications

1. Applicants must be members in good standing of the Society.
2. Parents of applicants must also be members of the Society.
3. Scholarship winners must accept awards in person at an award ceremony at the annual Spring Banquet of the Society.
4. An applicant must meet ONE of the following criteria:
   • Has completed grade 4 or higher, and is continuing elementary or secondary school education;
   • Has graduated from secondary school or completed an academic year full time at a post secondary institution, and has been accepted for another academic year full time at a post secondary institution;

Documentation

Please provide a copy of school report for the academic year just ended and copies of awards or letters of recognition received during the academic year for:

• Academic excellence in specific subjects
• Voluntary service to school, church, or community

Fill out the Scholarship Application form and forward it with supporting documentation to:

Applications will be accepted starting December 1st, 2011 and must be received at the offices of the Society by February 29, 2012, (extended).


And, for the first time applicants, he/she should apply for a YFT membership and submit their scholarship applications, along with a recent photograph (passport size) to the address above, prior to December 31, 2011.

        The 5th World Yee Family Association Convention and the 16th Yee Fung Toy Society of Canada National Convention will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from August 4th to August 7th, 2012.

Our goal is to make this Convention a success.

Therefore we need all the help and participation from our scholarship students at that time, If the students are  available to help out at our convention, please indicate that you are available to help, we will contact you later to provide additional information.

Note:** The 2011 Scholarships will be awarded in August, 2012, during the Convention time.
