加拿大余風采總分堂清明節拜祭先僑
清明節的腳步已近，基於過去兩年新冠病毒疫情的關係,
與親戚朋友相聚機會減少，政府為避免人流聚集，不建議集體聚會與活動，雖然現在疫情有所控制，
但是人們出行還需要防控不鬆懈，做好個人防護，
科學規範佩戴口罩、勤洗手、少聚集、勤通風，保持安全社交距離。
余風采總堂總長余根洙、副總長余詠本伉儷、主席余宏榮、副主席余美湛，溫哥華余風采堂主席余耀祥、副主席余佳卓，書記余德強，婦女組主任余黃小媺， 康樂組主任余馬麗芬與多位會員，於三月廿六日（星期六），備三牲祭品、水果、 糕點及鮮花等前往山景墓園「安魂亭」拜祭先僑， 表達慎終追遠、緬懷追思之心意。今年的金豬祭品是由余錫儒夫人的家屬提供的。
當日早上雖然下著細雨，余風采總分堂清明節拜祭先僑活動仍照常。在溫哥華余風采堂主席余耀祥帶領下，
德強書記主持拜祭程序儀式以及讀祭文。
大家向先人行三鞠躬致意，並默默祝禱， 期許他們在天之靈永享安康。
根洙總長、宏榮主席獻三牲，詠本副總長獻水果，
佳卓副主席獻財寶，開儀理事獻酒，各宗人陪祭。然後全體宗人再向先人行三鞠躬。
跟著總堂主席宏榮及分堂副主席佳卓嗚炮，禮成後大家便回到堂所拜祖。
最後全體宗人同赴富大海鮮酒家，大家歡聚一堂，閒話家常，好快就過了相當愉快的下午。
賀！余利達醫生任命為加州亞太裔事務委員會專員
曾在二○○五年八月二日到訪我們温哥華余風采堂的余利達（大衛）醫生，他是美國二埠「沙加緬度」余風采堂元老余杰民醫生（Dr. Herbert Yee）
的孫子。 他和夫人凱西（Kathy）
在二○○五年七月三十一日蒞臨溫哥華，目的是在一個醫療專題講座中分享他的專科「泌尿醫學」。
二○○五年八月二日下午，温哥華余風采堂主席余美湛從酒店迎接他們到達余風采堂參觀。在聊天中讓他們看到總堂大廳中所懸掛之『風采堂』匾額及兩傍 『風徽媲美曲江芬遺嶺表；采烈遙承武水倫敘天涯』的木刻對聯， 此乃當年成立堂所時貴賓們贈送的禮物。我們向余利達醫生和凱西解釋了木刻對聯的來歷， 這對聯是由他們的祖父和曾祖父在五十年前贈送與余風采堂的紀念品。 總堂顧問余鳳和拿出風采堂的相冊給他們看，並展示其它掛在牆壁上 的歷史相片，在其中余利達夫婦驚奇地認出了他們曾祖父的舊照。
余杰民醫生曾任全美余風采堂主席及元老。在所有的成就中，他最驕傲的是能夠得到家人的信任，
他向兒孫們灌輸了家族遺傳中所重視的價值觀及對別人的尊重。他與妻子結婚七十
多年，育有四個孩子，九個孫子和十八個曾孫。
余利達醫生最遺憾的是，爺爺（余杰民醫生）在二○二一年六月廿六日在享受著美好的退休日子當中去世了。享年九十六歲。
自從二○○五年認識了余利達醫生後，我們雙方建立了一個良好的友誼。我和太太在二○○九年八月八日前往紐約參加全美余風采堂第二十三屆懇親大會期間， 他邀請我們參加他女兒薩曼莎（Samantha） 的滿月派對。六年後，於二○一五年在波士頓召開全美余風采堂第二 十五屆懇親大會的宴會期間我們又再次會面了， 我們聚集在一起拍照，這都將是我們永恆的回憶，希望共同珍惜!
最近加州州長紐森（California Governor Gavin Newsom） 在本年三月三十日（星期三） 宣布任命余利達醫生為加州亞太裔事務委員會專員（ California Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs Commissioner）。 加拿大温哥華余風采堂同仁也為他表示高興。恭喜！恭喜！
余利達醫生在獲得任命後表示，“作為致力於為加州服務的第六代華裔醫生，很榮幸被紐森州長任命為加州亞太裔事務委員會專員， 我非常感謝余風采堂寶貴無價的支持。作為一名專員， 我希望延續我家人為加州服務的熱誠及悠久歷史， 並建議我們的民選官員制定有效的政策來解決加州亞太裔社區的所有問題。”
泰國徐氏總會理事長贈墨寶給泰國余氏宗親總會余聲清主席留念
泰國是海外華人華僑最多的國家之一，幾百年來，華人從祖居國帶來各姓氏文化，
隨著國家社會的發展，各姓氏也先後成立各姓宗親總會，為宗親，為社會造福。
泰華各姓宗親總會聯合會擇吉於二○二二年五月十二日（星期四）在曼谷昭披耶河旁邊的皇家蘭花喜來登大酒店舉行新第八屆三次執委會議。
幾位泰國余氏宗親總會兄弟在余聲清主席帶領下，出席這個執委會議。會議經大家暢所欲言達共識，通過追認上次會議記錄， 通過會務報告，財政報告等議案，會議場面熱烈，親切和諧，譜寫了會務發展新篇 章。
會議期間，徐氏總會理事長徐炎光先生特別送來墨寶贈我會聲清主席留念。
泰國余氏宗親總會余聲清主席獲頒華光僑務專業獎章
泰國台灣商會聯合總會於五月廿一日（星期六）舉行三十週年慶，期間，台灣僑務委員會委員長童振源先生特別頒贈華光僑務專業獎章給泰國華僑恊會余聲清主席， 真是泰國余氏宗族成員的驕傲甚感殊榮。
紐英崙余風釆堂頒發獎學金暨敬老晚會
五月廿二日（星期日）晚，紐英崙余風采堂在波士頓華埠帝苑酒樓舉辦頒發獎學金暨敬老晚會。 本地宗親、遠道而來十多位紐約余風采堂宗親和嘉賓老少近二百人出席宴會。
十五名學生獲得了獎學金。其中有兩名畢業生獲得了為紀念已故耆老余建元及顧問余國濟家人捐贈的獎學金。
婦女組以幾首歡迎歌曲開始晚會。除了婦女組集體表演外，宗親們還演唱多首卡拉 OK 歌曲。席間， 柔和的音樂伴隨著嘉賓們翩翩起舞，加上豐富的抽獎活動，令會場氣氛熱烈，娛樂性十足。
新加坡余氏總會家庭日與端午節的慶祝活動
海天一 色 濤聲依舊
在冠狀病毒的陰影籠罩下，余氏總會有兩年多沒辦過任何的大型活動。生活雖然照常，但大家的心情難免會有些壓抑。 隨著政府宣佈，防疫措施放寬後。大家終於長長的舒出一口氣。
五月廿九日，東海岸公園的海邊，晴空萬里，海天一色，浪花拍岸，濤聲依舊。《余氏總會家庭日》的布條高高掛起，隨風晃動。 青年團、康樂組和婦女組同心協力籌辦了疫情下的第一次戶外活動，獲得了宗親們 熱烈的回應。一共有百多位的宗親報名參加。
宗親們攜老帶幼，吹著海風，享受著總會提供的食物和美味的粽子，喝著冰涼的冷飲，三五成群的聚在一塊，談天說地，說不出的舒暢愜意。
燒烤架上，飄出陣陣的香味，籌委會的組員們，汗流浹背，不斷的翻動著手中的食物，雞翅膀、沙爹、香腸、豬肉、 魚肉等各種燒烤美食一盤盤的送到宗親們的眼前。宗親們吃的開心，燒烤架旁的帥 哥們，臉就更加紅了！ 不是害羞的紅哦！ 是被太陽曬紅，被火炭給烤紅的。都說認真工作的男人是最帥的。 要給你們豎起拇指，讚！ 讚！ 讚！
太陽漸漸西下，活動圓滿的在傍晚五時結束。 宗親們盡興而歸，期待著下一次的相聚。
泰國余氏宗親總會慶祝端午節
一年一度農曆五月初五的端午節近在眼前了。今年六月三日是端午節，這是集拜神 祭祖、祈福辟邪、歡慶娛樂為一體的中國傳統民俗節日。
泰國余氏宗親總會於五月三十一日（星期二）中午在該會禮堂舉行一年一度端午節 拜祖，祈福平安健康。
祭拜儀式完後，聲清主席、宗兄弟姊妹們一起去曼谷越拍耶皆區石龍軍路湄南河酒 店二樓的阿一鮑魚富臨酒家聚餐。

2022 Ching Ming Celebration in Vancouver
We had a good turnout (see photos), with many we have not seen during the pandemic. The light rain reminded us of the poem on Ching Ming by Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu, which reminded me of the very first Ching Ming report on our World Yee online newsletter Issue #3, Summer Issue in 2005.
Things have changed, people have changed. Kai Yi was the one who took care of getting the food and other supplies. No one brought any paper copy of the ceremony program. Victor brought up images of these documents on his phone, and proceeded to read from them for the steps to follow. We went through the usual routine, except we forgot about the “remembrance of our departed members” speech in English.
At the end, Bill and George set off the firecrackers. In 2005 it was also a George Yee (but of an older generation) who did the firecrackers. We then took the afterlife bank notes and burn them as offerings to our ancestors.
We all went back to the Hall for a brief ceremony, then to Floata for lunch. We started with roast pork and chicken used in the Mountainview ceremony, then congee, fried rice, noodles, and greens from Floata, before sharing some sweet pastries from the ceremony to take home. Charles was a guest from Toronto. He is the son of Mrs. Sui Ji in town to visit his mother.

Congratulations to Dr. David S. Yee on California Governor Newsom's Announcement 3.30.22
Congratulations to our very own, Dr. David S. Yee, grandson of Yee Fung Toy Family Association USA Grand Elder Dr. Herbert K. Yee on his appointment to the California Asian & Pacific Islander American Affairs Commission by California Governor Gavin Newsom. Dr. David S. Yee is also a current member and past board member of the Sacramento Yee Fung Toy Family Association.
Dr. David S. Yee has been a Urologist and Urologic Oncologist for Sutter Medical Group since 2011 and has served on its Board of Directors since 2022. He has been a Clinical Instructor at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine since 2022 and also served as a Clinical Instructor there from 2011 to 2018. Yee has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the California Northstate University College of Medicine since 2022. He served as a Clinical Instructor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 2008 to 2010 and at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center from 2007 to 2008.
Yee is secretary of the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees and a member of the California Medical Association, American Urological Association, Society of Urologic Oncology, Sacramento Yee Family Association and the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Association. Yee earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. He completed his Urology Residency and Robotic Surgery Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and his Urologic Oncology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Taipei Director Ben M.Y. Chen visited the Phoenix YFT Family Association
Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office Director Ben M.Y. Chen recently made a special trip to the Valley (Phoenix) on Saturday, April 23 and visited several Chinese Family Associations. Assisting him on the visit was his wife and Deputy Director Hsin Ju (Ruthie) Cheng
Phoenix Yee Fung Toy Assn officers and members welcomed Director Chen at their association headquarters on 16th Street. Director Chen viewed the many awards and photos of achievements that the organization had accomplished through the years under the impressive leadership of the late John M. Yee.
"I am very supportive of the work that the Family Chinese Associations has done for the Chinese Community here in the Valley," said Director Chen.
Phoenix YFT Family Association 2022 Officers Updated
The Yee Fung Toy Family Association of Phoenix 2022 Officers updated as of May 22, 2022.
NE YFT Senior Appreciation/Scholarship Awards Celebration
On Sunday May 22, YFT NE held a banquet to honor their senior members and scholarship recipients. Over 200 members and their families attended this event. Ten members from New York’s YFT also attended this event, traveling more than eight hours round trip.
Fifteen students received scholarships. Two of those students received graduate degree awards from members who donated the scholarships. They were the late Gen Yuen Yee and Advisor Kwok Chi Yee.
The Women’s Group started the evening with a couple of welcoming songs, followed by table raffles and individual raffles donated by our New York Co-Chairs. There were dancing and Karaoke throughout the entire evening. Lots of fun were enjoyed by all!
Detroit YFT Celebrating Memorial Day
Members of the Detroit Yee Fung Toy Family Association were celebrating Memorial Day and our planning meeting for the DYFTFA Summer Picnic and Scholarship Event on a beautiful Sunday afternoon (May 29. 2022).
Singapore Yee Clan Family Day BBQ at East Coast Park
It was a sunny Sunday afternoon on 29 May 2022 and after a period of 2 years or so, we can at last able to gather a lot of our members in one gathering with precautionary measures for a social and meaningful session over a barbeque meal at the East Coast Park.
We have more than 106 members registered and the turn up was more than expected. We are glad that we are able to get at least 3 generations of Yee members to attend this event. Not only the food was well prepared by our subcommittee and our board members, but we all also have a good chance to socially interact, talk to each other to find out about each well beings, and strike more networking sessions for the working adults, looking at more opportunities to run more activities for members catering to the younger generation like students and even for the youth.
The pandemics have helped us to rethink, reinvent and reset some of the traditional ways of doing things but it never changes our social interaction and helps one another when in need of help. In fact, it has strengthened our urge to help each other, create resilience in all of us and think of agility in our community work as we are all here to serve our Yee Clan members
Thailand Yu Clan Celebrated Duanwu Jie (Dragon Boat Festival)
Members of the Thailand Yu Clansmen Association celebrated Duanwu Jie (Dragon Boat Festival) on Tuesday, May 31st. First we held our annual ancestor ceremony at the Association hall, followed by a luncheon at the Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant.
