十二月十二日，我校舉行慶祝建校廿九週年活動暨獎教獎學頒獎典禮。
參加的貴賓有：香港余氏宗親會理事長、武溪中學董事長余海虎，
香港余風采五堂會主席、武溪中學名譽董事長余紹凱，
香港余氏宗親會副會長、武溪中學名譽董事長余柏齡，副理事長、
武溪中學副董事長余偉明一行三十六人；澳門宗親會會長余華賜一行十人；
校友會會長陳國棟一行二十人參加活動。
市人大常委會副主任黃新偉、副市長余中華、政協副主席鄭大有，教育局副局長吳振文、黨委副書記
黃偉湛， 白沙鎮委書記黃品亮、鎮長柯嘉妮和有關部門、單位領導到場祝賀。
十二月十二日下午，開平市風采華僑中學舉行建校廿八週年暨
二○一四年度獎教獎學助學金頒發慶典。開平市領導黃力奔、 關開宗等參加了相關活動。
風采華僑中學走過了廿八個不同凡響的春秋，
開平市各級領導和海內外余氏宗親給予了大力支援，學校辦學水準上升到廣東省一級學校行列，
並被評為廣東省教學水準優秀學校， 體藝教學彰顯特色，培養了一大批社會著名人士。
該校堅持“以人為本，面向全體，素質至上，特色見長”的辦學理念， 辦學成績顯著。2014年
高考該校再創輝煌，本科以上32人， 比去年增長23%；
專科以上238人，
比去年增長20%；
均超額完成高考任務。
風采華僑中學校長梁盛濃希望教師們認真做好每一件事，
用心教好每一位學生，進一步提高教學品質，培養出有道德、有社會責任感的人，
努力把學校辦成“校風好、校園美、品質高、有特色”的華僑學校。
他還希望學生們要學會感恩，做到尊師守紀、勤奮進取，以優異成績 報答關心、
支援和愛護他們成長的善長仁翁，回報社會。
開平市副市長黃力奔希望各位友人繼續關心和支援風采華僑中學的建設；
廣大教師要繼續發揚奉獻精神，以推進教育創新為己任，厚德博學；
全體學生要繼續發揚學校的光榮傳統，胸懷祖國、放眼世界，好好學習。
慶典儀式舉行了相關捐贈儀式，頒發獎教、獎學、助學金，
香港余風采五堂會在慶典儀式上捐贈電腦設備款30萬港幣，北大企業總裁 EMBA
班(廣州班)捐贈圖書一萬冊。
聖誕節是個歡樂的日子，是個大家互相祝福的日子。
正像我們中國人過年節吃年夜飯一樣，都很注重全家人圍坐共進節日美餐。
我們居住在以天主教為主的菲律濱，自然不能免俗。
本堂每年都會舉行聖誕聯歡會，大家聚聚舊，聯繫彼此的感情，共度佳節。
二○一四年十二月十四日（星期日）中午，本堂假座本（岷）市
第一海鮮酒家舉行一年一度的聖誕聯歡會， 同時本堂教育基金會亦於是日頒發族師獎勵金，
理事、堂員、叔伯嬸姆、姊妹、兄弟歡聚一堂，談笑人生，鄉情洋溢四座。
席間常務理事文皇宗長，應豪宗長相繼發表熱情洋溢的講話，並祝大家節日快樂。
教育基金會由文皇董事代表頒發一年一度的族師獎勵金，
鼓勵辛勞的老師作育英才，為他們加油，打氣，各位族師皆表示感謝萬分。
最後幸運抽獎，大家捧著獎金，歡天喜地打道回家好過節。
中華民國政府官員，
僑務委員會陳士魁委員長在橙縣僑教中心主任高家富陪同下於十二月十八日抵鳳凰城訪問，
當晚應邀出席亞省僑界歡迎晚宴，晚宴由僑務諮詢委員余文勁、
張晴玲擔任召集人，並由僑務顧問方慧賢及僑務促進委員鄭弘擔任主持人。
晚宴中陳委員長並親自為僑務諮詢委員余文勁先生頒發華光獎章，表彰他對亞
利桑納州僑界的貢獻，
同時亦頒發本年雙十國慶有功團體獎狀予鳳凰城僑界雙十國慶籌委會等主辦社團。詳情請按 此處。
美國余風采總堂於十二月廿一日中午在堂所舉行一年一度 聖誕兒童慶會 ，
百多位余氏宗親、家眷、小朋友、元老、顧問、委員、
全體福利組人員出席參與當天的慶祝活動。
慶會中，主席武良向兒童派發紅包、副主席永源向兒童派發聖誕禮物，總堂備有豐
盛布斐餐接待。
紐約余風采堂於十二月廿八日在華埠余風采堂禮堂舉行二○一五年度新職員就職暨祭祖典禮。
多名社區僑領與眾多嘉賓到場支援，場面熱烈。
在全場百名嘉賓的見證下，蟬聯主席余棟榮和余錦韶從元老余景新、總顧問余保忠、
美東副總長余鋼深監督下接受印信，宣誓就職。
新任主席余棟榮表示：“可以連任紐約余風采堂主席，我感到很榮幸，
我要誠摯地感謝元老以及會員的支援和信任。 同時也要感謝社區各界的大力支援。
在未來新的任期中，我們將繼續團結會員，服務僑社。”
在就職典禮當日，多名嘉賓以及社區僑領到場表示支持並致詞， 其中包括市議員陳倩雯、中華公所主席伍銳賢、美東聯成公所主席蕭貴源、 紐約洪門致公堂主席李偉強等。
在發言中市議員陳倩雯說：“很感謝紐約余風采堂在繁榮華埠團結僑社中
作出的傑出貢獻，希望連任的主席可以繼續服務社區。”

為了加強世界余氏宗親的聯繫，每隔三年在世界各地輪流舉辦之世界余氏懇親大會， 今年十一月將於澳門承辦。澳門余氏宗親會為了更好舉辦是次盛事， 日前該會創會會長余焯源、會長余華賜、常務副會長余惠鶯及副會長余凱濤等負責人日 前往珠海拜訪珠海市政協前主席、 該會名譽會長余炳林，汕頭新慶燃料有限公司董事長、名譽會長余春桂等， 受到兩位的熱情接待，兩位名譽會長就如何舉辦好是次盛會給予寶貴意見， 值得該會借鑑。
澳門余氏宗親會余華賜表示，自二○○○年起， 世界余氏懇親大會分別於香港、美國洛杉磯、馬來西亞吉隆波、加拿大溫哥華等國家及 地區舉行。 每一屆都辦得有聲有色，深受余氏宗親的歡迎。 世界余氏宗親總會第六屆懇親會將於今年十一月二十三至二十六日分別在澳門及廣東舉 行。 為了辦好是次盛會，該會負責人努力聯繫居住在澳門的余氏宗親， 同時希望吸引更多世界余氏宗親到訪澳門。
據估計，屆時有一千多名來自世界各地的余氏宗親將出席盛會。 現時該會負責人廣泛聽取意見，在澳期間舉辦什麼類型之活動，才能辦出澳門風采。 屆時也安排來訪者體驗本澳社會文化、風土人情和飽覽名勝風光， 他請兩位名譽會長給予寶貴意見。
余焯源表示，余氏宗親在澳門有六千多人，該會自成立以來， 一直宣傳澳門余風采堂的歷史， 其人文價值是紀念北宋名臣忠襄公余靖而興建，積澱深厚的文化底蘊， 余風采堂起到啟迪後人奮發向學， 勤政愛民的作用，届時將安排舉辦相關講座，讓余氏宗親秉承優良傳統， 團結宗親，為澳門的繁榮和社會和諧及家鄉建設作出應有的貢獻。
澳門余氏宗親會藉著新春佳節，為大力弘揚中華民族尊老敬老的傳統美德，營造文明祥 和、溫馨和諧的社會氛圍， 本會通過多種形式開展「敬老愛老、共建共享｣主題活動，以實際行動讓長者 們得到尊重、 得到關愛、得到實惠。日前該會在創會會長余焯源、正副會長余華賜、余惠鶯、余凱 濤、 余少池等的帶領下一行十七人前往仁慈堂安老院展開探訪活動，向長者致送新 春祝福和贈送賀年利市，主講「安老院院舍長者如何養生之道｣講座、 粵曲表演及參觀等，受到該院李錦雯院長等的熱情接待，共賀佳節。
仁慈堂安老院李錦雯院長致歡迎詞，她感謝余氏宗親會藉著新春佳節給長者送上温暖， 以實際行動讓長者們得到尊重、得到關愛。 本會會長余華賜向長者及院舍員工介紹余氏宗親會的辦會宗旨、會員狀況、日 常開展之活動， 他表示，該會在凝聚宗親、關心社會，藉著新春佳節， 為大力弘揚中華民族尊老敬老的傳統美德， 營造文明祥和、溫馨和諧的社會氛圍，該會通過多種形式開展「敬老愛老、共建共享｣ 主題活動，讓長者們感受到尊重、得到關愛。 同時通過參觀安老院，讓該會成員了解本澳安老院舍設施，長者生活等， 是一次很好的相互交流及仁慈之旅。
本會常務副會長余惠鶯向長者們主講「安老院院舍長者如何養生之道｣講座，她表示， 仁慈堂安老院舍一直朝著優質護理邁進， 在管理及護理工作上做得十分到位，但如何更好地避免院舍長者常發生健康問 題： 如關節萎縮造成行動不便、便秘、糖尿病、高血壓及失智症等。她鼓勵長者們在安老院 舍常 運動、注意飲食、預防跌倒、保持良好心態及鼓勵室友們互助等。接著該會成 員余少池、余金月等為長者獻上多首粵曲。 講座及表演深受長者們歡迎。
最後本會成員在李院長的帶領下參觀安老院設施，該會讚揚仁慈堂多年積極開展社服工 作，關顧長者晚年生活，安老服務到位。 新屆特區政府在完善長者安老政策，優化社服界前線人員福利，全面提升社服 水平等努力邁進。 當天參觀的成員有余華富、余冠群、余國禎、余健文、余慧珊、余麗華， 義工盧雪梅、張敏婷及歐陽智堅等。
新加坡余氏總會于三月一日（農曆正月十一日，星期日）下午五時正， 于總會大廳舉行新春團拜及聯歡會，慶祝春節，並促進宗親情誼。參與者免交費用， 自助餐和飲料概由總會備辦，余海年會長在聯歡會上派發紅包給出席的宗親。
我們大家圍在一起吃經典七彩繽紛的年菜“撈魚生”，撈魚生簡稱撈起、或撈生（「撈」是粵語「拌」的意思）， 是新加坡及馬來西亞過農曆新年時的特色賀年食品，多於人日食用，代替七菜羹或七菜 粥，七彩繽紛的魚生有七彩燦爛的好意頭， 而七彩魚生這個名稱，又有了「風生水起」及「愈撈愈旺」的意頭。 七彩魚生近似九江魚生，但醬料不同，材料包括魚生、生菜絲、西芹絲、紅蘿蔔絲、薑絲及花生碎等， 醬料以酸梅膏加桔子汁添糖水調成。做法首先是將各材料逐一加到碟上，每加一樣材 料， 都要說一句吉祥話。當所有材料加好後，圍桌的所有人就會拿起筷子， 把所有材料撈（拌）在一起，口中要同時說「撈起撈起」。當材料拌勻後，便可以食用。

Welcome to the 42nd issue of the Yee Fung Toy Global Village Voice, an electronic newsletter for the World Yee community. In this issue we are featuring new Board Installations and Winter activities from Yee Associations around the world.
After four seasons of festivities in the Yee Chapters around the world, we would like to bid farewell to the Year of Horse and to welcome the peacefulness of the Year of Sheep. During the Chinese New Year, all is new and full of hope. The World Yee Web committee would like to take this opportunity to wish good luck to all our readers in the exciting Year of the Sheep.
This year's two very important and exciting events are scheduled this year: The 25th US Yee Fung Toy Family Association Convention will be held on August 1-4 in Boston, and The Sixth World Yee Convention (2015) will be held in Macau November 23-26. On Nov. 23, 2014, Yee Fung Toy
Association of New England installed the new
officers for 2015 at the association headquarters.
Elder Henry Yee, along with East Grand President
Peter Yee officiated the new officers
installation. All the new officers were committed
to host the upcoming Yee Fung Toy Family National
Convention that will be held in Boston.
Following the installation
ceremony, the association holds its annual
Thanksgiving feast. Over 30 members consumed 2
turkeys, 2 hams, assorted side dishes, and
desserts. Once again, Yee Fung Toy of NE had a
very successful year which make this Thanksgiving
feast a cause to celebrate.
Months of meticulous planning and
countless meetings were exhausted to prepare for
this Celebration. Teams were formed to support the
logistics and be responsible for secretarial
duties, securing best room rates and appoint
hotels, restaurant bookings, photography services,
transport, guest arrivals and send-off, ushers,
program scheduling, newsletter collating and
editing, etc. Understandably, each had its own
area of frustrations. Those who sacrificed their
spare time towards the Celebration success, kudos
are duly given.
27th Nov 2014 - Thursday
8:00 am. Committee members assembled at Hotel
Royal Secretariat Room. Last minute guest arrival
details were briefed. Guest Reception teams then
left for Changi Airport to await guest arrivals
and guide them to their respective hotels. Amongst
the arrivals were delegates from Taiwan, Hong
Kong, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Most of our guests then checked-in at Hotel Royal
and spilled over to Value Hotel.
7:30 pm. Welcome dinner was held at Jade Room Restaurant which was on the 2nd floor of Hotel. There were a total of 38 tables. 4 guests had special needs for vegetarian food and were arranged. Our member MC did a good job that night.
28th Nov 2014 - Friday
6:00 am Good morning Singapore – Hearty breakfast
at Prince Room, Hotel Royal.
8:00 am All delegates assembled at
Hotel Royal Lobby ready to leave for Marina
Barrage. We had quick group photos taken and spend
time around the scenic Barrage and Marina
Garden-by-the-Bay.
10:30am Bus “A” left Marina
Barrage for Yee Clan Association. Busses were
scheduled to leave at 10 minutes interval to
relieve congestion in our Association’s premise.
At the Association, delegates paid respects to our
grand fore-father. A short briefing of our history
was presented by Peng Kwang.
12:30 pm Lunch was held at Yan
Palace Restaurant, Chinatown. Delegates enjoyed
their lunch and karaoke. After lunch, buses took
all delegates back to hotel for a short rest. Some
opted to shop around Chinatown.
7:00 pm Gala Dinner was held at
Ban Heng Restaurant, Harbourfront. Arrival of all
guests and be seated. There were a total of 108
tables. Professional photographers and
videographers were engaged to record this event.
In addition, a fun Instant Print Photograph
station was set up. This proved very popular. Long
queues were observed at this counter.
8:00 pm Arrival of our Guest-of-Honor, Ms Low Yen Ling (Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Mayor, South West District) amidst a fanfare of lion dances. She was escorted to the VIP table. Our Association President, Guest-of-Honor Ms Low, 85th Anniversary Organizing Committee Chairman, Deputy President made their speeches. First dish was a show presentation. We were entertained with performances by artistes, magical umbrella show, followed by scholarship awards, exchanges of mementos between representatives of overseas Clans.

The Yee Fung Toy Association of
Washington DC sponsored the Christmas Hawaii Party
again this year. The party was held at the Hollywood
East Restaurant on December 6, 2014 starting at 6:00
PM. We normally held a Hawaii Party in the summer but
this year we were very busy in the summer so we
scheduled it in the Fall instead. By popular demand,
we have Hula Dancer Anne Matematico to perform
Hawaiian and Tahitian dance for us. We also hired a DJ
to provide dance music for us. As usual, we have our
traditional Limbo contest, Karaoke, and prizes.
There are about 150 people in
attendance. Since the theme is Hawaii in Christmas.
People are wearing red and leis. Anne Matematico
performs a Hula dance for us and also teaches us how
to dance.
VIP guests attending our party include
the chairwoman and the vice chairman of CCBA, an elder
from the Lee Association, and the President of the On
Leong Association.

held its annual election meeting on December 7, 2014
at 7:00 pm at the Renton Seafood Restaurant.

John M. Yee was presented with the Hwa
Kung Award for his many years of community service to
the Chinese Community and his continued support of the
Republic of China.
The Hwa Kung Award is the highest
award presented to an individual by the Overseas
Chinese Affairs Council of Taiwan and was presented by
Taiwan Minister Steven C.K. Chen on his recent visit
to Phoenix. Only 3 honorees have been awarded this
prestigious award in the United States.
On December 20, 2014, 30 members from
the the Hong Kong Yue Clansmen Association, DiHai Fong
Toy Hall, and the Fung Toy Magazine Publishing staff
took part in the Haimenzhen's

2015 Year of the Goat
was ushered in by our members - about 98.
Our President, Whai Lin, gave away red
packets to everyone present.
Highlight of the
buffet dinner was the traditional must have
dish - yu sheng (魚生).
Everyone at the table would toss it the
higher the better to symbolize growth,
abundance, prosperity and vigor. There were
plenty of food and drinks to go round.
